2023 Summer Writing Contest

RULES

  1. Open to members only.
  2. Winners of the spring contest are ineligible.
  3. Write a 750-word (or less) complete story on the prompt.
  4. Any genre
  5. Title does not count toward word count.
  6. Do not put your name on the story
  7. Send your story to springfieldwritersguild@gmail.com as an attachment or in the body of the email.
  8. DEADLINE: July 31, 2023

Winners will be announced at the August summer picnic. Prize winnings of 1st place = $75 / 2nd place = $50 / 3rd place = $25 / honorable mention

About Springfield Writers' Guild

Springfield Writers' Guild was formed in 1943 to encourage new writers and hone the skills of the writing craft. The group meets every fourth Saturday of the month (except for December) at McAlister's Deli, 1711 W. Battlefield in Springfield, Missouri. Visitors are welcome.
