Juliana Goodwin is a food columnist, cookbook author, and travel writer in Springfield, Mo. She worked for the Springfield News-Leader for 11 years, before leaving in 2014 to freelance full-time and spend more time with her family. Goodwin grew up in nine different countries before making her home in the Ozarks in 2002. Her work has appeared in publications across the country. While food and travel are her focus, she has written about everything from higher education to health topics. She will talk a little about column writing and offer tips for freelancers, everything from how to stand out to keeping records for tax purposes.
